ATARI+MARI

Atari+Mari, an indie pop duo from Northeastern PA, consists of two members– Atari Antlion and Mari B Suarez. Their creative partnership spans over a decade in mediums of both film and music, but now includes an album of original indie pop tunes titled, “Standing On The Verge Of Getting Worse”, written during the pandemic and released on all streaming platforms October 31st, 2023.

Influenced by acts such as Fatboy Slim, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, and Prince, the album has spawned radio singles such as “REBELLE”, “Phantoms”, and fan favorite “Caught Me at a Bad Time”, which have been in rotation on local stations such as FUZZ 96.1. The band adopt a hip hop ethos and write in the vein of classic pop about current day societal and political issues. The duo have since played a handful of local shows and festivals and are excited to do more with their music and visuals!

As an artistic entity, Atari+Mari like to incorporate mixed media into their work, often sampling oddball elements in their music or working with public domain footage to highlight themes in their music.

Onstage, Atari+Mari like to keep the arrangements simple. Two mics, a guitar and amp, and an SP-404 drum machine hooked up to the biggest speaker cabinet possible! They have played several show lineups at The Keystone Stage and played the inaugural Fright Night Festival in october of 2024.

Atari+Mari have slowly built up the merch available both on hand and online! Their redbubble and zazzle online store carry shirts, tapestries and other curiosities, while on hand at any show they carry CDs, stickers, and even purchasable Atari+Mari masks for any interested!
